Pixelligent Technologies Receives The Daily Record’s 2012 Innovator of the Year Award

Baltimore, Maryland – Pixelligent Technologies, an innovator in manufacturing nanocrystal additives for the electronics, semiconductor and industrial markets, has been selected as a winner of The Daily Record’s 2012 Innovator of the Year Awards.

This honor comes on the heels of Pixelligent’s recent growth, including the expansion of its manufacturing facility footprint to include more than 13,000 sq. ft. and a 150 percent increase in its workforce.  During the past six months, Pixelligent has seen its customer pipeline grow by more than ten times – including the addition of five of the largest multinational chemical/polymer manufacturing companies.  Pixelligent’s nanocrystal additives and nanocomposites are being evaluated for applications ranging from next generation lighting, to brighter and more efficient displays, to more powerful semiconductors, to the most advanced protective coatings and lubricants.

The Daily Record began the Innovator of the Year Awards in 2002 as a way to recognize Marylanders and Maryland-based companies for their innovative spirit — for creating new products, new programs, new services, or new processes that have helped their companies, industries, or communities.

“I am honored to be named an Innovator of the Year.  Our team has worked diligently to develop this groundbreaking technology that will have a significant impact on electronics, semiconductor and industrial markets,” commented Greg Cooper, Founder and CTO of Pixelligent Technologies.  “This is a very exciting time for the company, and we look forward to ongoing success as we continue to scale up our manufacturing capacity.”

“We are proud to honor Greg Cooper from Pixelligent Technologies as one of The Daily Record’s Innovators of the Year,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record.  “Mr. Cooper embodies the creativity and innovative spirit that originally spurred The Daily Record to launch the Innovator of the Year Awards.”
